We thought that eczema was just part of our family.

“We thought eczema was just part of our family”

Interview with Marloes (45), Haarlem On how one change in the water made all the difference for her whole family Tell me, how did it all start? My husband and I both have sensitive skin, so when our children developed eczema, I wasn't really surprised. Our daughter had it behind her knees, our son mainly on his arms and stomach. It came and went, but it was always there in small doses. Sometimes the patches were red and dry, sometimes even raw. We applied creams, used detergent for sensitive skin, and tried everything the doctor recommended. How did that feel for you as a mother? Honestly, it was quite helpless. You want your children to feel comfortable in their own skin. But I noticed that showering became something they dreaded. It stung, it itched, and then we had to apply sunscreen again. I started to think it was just hereditary and that we'd just have to learn to live with it. When did you start doubting that idea? A friend told me her child's skin had improved after she installed a shower filter. She'd read something about hard water and how it can damage the skin barrier. Honestly, I'd never thought about it. We all drink tap water here without any problems, so I never thought shower water could do anything. What were you doing then? I looked it up and read that hard water is full of limescale, metals, and chlorine. This can dry out and irritate the skin, especially in children. Then I came across Klense. It looked simple and you could install it yourself. I thought: I'll give this a try. What happened next? Within a week, I noticed a difference. My daughter's skin was less red, and she scratched less at night. My own skin also felt softer after showering. It was as if the water suddenly became gentler. No more tightness, no more flakes on my legs. How are you now? The children still have the occasional dry patch, but it's nothing like it used to be. We hardly ever have to use ointment anymore. Showering is simply something nice again, not something painful. And that's perhaps the biggest difference: it's become something relaxing again, for everyone. What would you like to share with other families? Sometimes the solution isn't yet another cream or ointment, but the water itself. We never would have guessed, but since we started using Klense, our skin finally feels calm. It's a small change that makes a big difference. 💧 Discover Klense and experience the difference yourself

“After moving to London, my skin and hair suddenly felt so different.”

“After moving to the Netherlands, my skin and hair suddenly felt so different.”

Interview with Lina (25), moved from Norway to the Netherlands About how something as small as water can make such a difference to your skin and hair Tell me, where are you from? I grew up in Norway, in a small town on the coast. My father had to go there for work, and we went with him as a family. Everything there was fresh and clean, including the water. I never thought about it; it just took for granted that my skin felt soft and my hair shined without me having to do much. When did you start noticing a difference? When I moved to the Netherlands for my studies, I initially thought I was just getting used to my new surroundings. After a few weeks, my skin started feeling tight after showering, especially on my arms and legs. My hair became dull, frizzy, and heavy all at once. Even my scalp felt sensitive, something I'd never experienced before. I tried different shampoos, masks, and body lotions, but nothing really helped. What did you think then? I found it frustrating. I felt like I was doing something wrong, even though my routine always worked perfectly. It wasn't until a friend told me the water in the Netherlands was much harder that I began to understand what was going on. I didn't even know water could be "hard" or "soft." What did you discover when you looked it up? That the water in Norway is actually very soft. It contains far fewer minerals like calcium and magnesium, and hardly any chlorine. Here in the Netherlands, it's the exact opposite. These substances can dry out your skin and make your hair dull. Suddenly, I understood why I felt so different after showering. How did you end up at Klense? I saw a TikTok video from someone who had the exact same problem. She showed how she'd installed the Klense shower filter in her shower and that it had significantly calmed her skin. I was intrigued. So I ordered one, just to try it out. Installation was incredibly easy. The filter was on my hand shower in just a few minutes. And what did you notice afterward? Honestly, I noticed a difference after just a few days. My skin felt less tight, and I no longer needed to apply moisturizer immediately after showering. After a week, I noticed my hair was softer and less likely to get oily. My scalp was also calmer. It felt like my skin was back in balance. How does showering feel now? Much more pleasant. The water literally feels softer, as if it glides more easily over my skin. I now really look forward to my morning shower. It might sound strange, but it feels more like a moisturizing treatment than something that dries my skin out. What would you recommend to other people who are experiencing the same thing? Pay attention to your water. Many people don't realize how much of a difference it can make. If your skin suddenly becomes dry or your hair doesn't fall the same anymore, it's not always the fault of your products. Sometimes it's the water itself. Klense really changed that for me. 💧 Discover our products and experience the difference yourself
